If you travel by airplane, you know that the baggage fees were applied to domestic flights. But now that fee is applied to the flights between the Caribbean an US. Only some airlines started this policy and it’s applied for first and second bag in ecenomy class.
The price is $15 for a first bag and you will have to pay $25 for second bag. I didn’t know anything about it, but since I traveled and got burned, I had to read the new rules. Now you will have to be careful since this policy is applied to the Latin America flights, Canada and Caribbean flights. Of course, the US domestic flights remain with the old policy.
The fees are there because of the gas prices. It was one of the ways to keep the cost down, at least that’s what airline companies claim.
